About Me

I have been a student of life. I've wondered about life's pains and potentials. Everything I teach clients I've experimented with myself.  I've also developed a greater capacity to experience peace, fulfillment and insight into experience; these capacities took time, risks and study to develop.  They are uncommon in our culture.

I've had to go outside my family and the education system to really deeply understand and heal.  I studied martial arts as a teen.  As a young adult, I studied yoga and Buddhist meditation.   Later I studied the relationship between psychology and spirituality more deeply and carefully when I joined the Diamond Approach; a contemporary spiritual path that integrates psychology into it's teaching.  I've also studied the oldest religion and way of life on the planet: shamanism.  As I l've learned I feel like I've connected with different parts of my soul and Earth's history.

I have an MA from Naropa University.  At Naropa, I studied the relationship between trauma and adult growth and development, the emotional and social impacts of mindfulness practice, and ways in which psychotherapy can promote growth and spiritual awakening in clients.
